Sweet & Sour Meatballs

This is my all time favorite meal to make. It tastes supper yummy and it makes tons so you always have left overs. This recipe is actually tripled so if you don't want to make that much meatballs, still make the sauce the tripled amount because it is better when it is not as dry.

Meatballs

3 lbs ground beef
1 1/2 cup bread crumbs
3 tsp onion salt
3 eggs
salt and pepper to taste

mix ingredients together with a fork or hands. Form into balls the size of a golf ball. place in a pan and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

Sweet & Sour Sauce

3 cup Pinapple juice. ( I usually do 2 cups of juice and one can of water)
3 Beef Bouillon cubes
6 Tbsp low sodium Soy sauce ( you don't have to use low sodium, but I have used both and the taste is better)
2 Cups sugar
6 Tbsp vinegar
Mix one cup water and 9 Tbsp corn starch together in a bowl and then add to the mixture.

Over the stove top, add all ingredients together on a low heat. When you add the corn starch stir until mixture is thick.
Combine sauce and meatballs together in a crock pot on low if you make it earlier or just to keep warm.
Add Pineapple chunks and Green peppers sliced to the meatballs.
Serve with White Rice and salad!
Enjoy!

  1. This was delicious!!! I cut the recipe into thirds, but next time I don't think I will. I used ground turkey meat and it was just as good! :)
